Pirate versus Ninja

I made this picture a few weeks ago, but couldn't post it here because I submitted it to a contest that had a rule "no posting picture in a public place during voting process" or worded something like that...

The delay in posting it publicly was sure worth it though because I won 1st place in the contest! I don't think I have ever won an art contest before...I don't enter them because I never think I will when LoL...

I am glad I did enter this one because I get 50$ to spend at the DAZ store (see the links at the bottom of my journal to know what/where I am speaking of). Also, it's always a great feeling to know people like your artwork!

So the object of the contest was to create a picture using certain product bases. One of these products makes up the Pirates shirt, and the other makes up the Ninja's cowl thingie.

Why ninjas and pirates? Well, why not? The internet geek subculture ninja/pirate debate has always been something I wanted to base a picture around.
Why are they chained together?
How else am I going to get a ninja and a pirate in that close proximity?
