First Death

She was told to let go.
She is not a child anymore.

Time to grow up.

Did you hear me? Grow up.

She was told she didn't need her best friend anymore.
That he was ugly...old...worn out.
She loved him the same though...

She was told that growing up was not an option.
Her childhood was over.

Get your head out of the clouds.

No one told her that she could keep him...it...with her.
That her body could grow but her mind could stay young.
So she had to let go.

That day, two things died.

She was not ready. She didn't know better.
She thought that with age came wisdom.
Lies.

Now she is lost, the magic is gone. She must find her own way to the ominous horizon...through turbulent seas and freezing cold. Is this what it is like to be grown up?
